A lot happened during World War II’s June 6, 1944 D-Day Invasion! This ready to go slide deck (available as both a PowerPoint and Google Slides) begins with some brief background information and then takes students through the events of the day. The 98 slides include the dropping of paratroopers and Glider troopers behind German lines early that morning and the invasions of Omaha, Utah, Sword, Gold, and Juno Beaches.

 

Not only does this download include the slide deck, but it also includes 8 pages of fill in the blank guided notes to keep your students engaged and on task!

 

It’s also flexible! The text in the slide deck is editable AND an editable PowerPoint version of the fill in the blank guided notes (without the fancy fonts and clip art) is included! You can add something specific to the slide deck and notes that your state standards include or delete something that your curriculum doesn’t cover.
